Thank you, Berkeley H., VA, VA (where is that?) for your review of the 7 train in NY, NY.

It's funny that this review was written in January of this year because this train line has certainly had its ups and (mostly) downs but, I feel like it has recently reached its peak functionality and ain't so bad anymore. That's just my two dollars and ninety cents...

As petty and pointless as I think Yelp reviews are (have I mentioned this before?), there is something so goofily hilarious about giving real-life events a literal thumbs down.

Much like this meme says…

It would hurt more.

Off the top of my head, here are a few other life events where I feel like a thumbs down would really add something:

  • Someone is having a conversation on speakerphone in public without any regard for the people around them. THUMBS DOWN.

  • You hold the door open for someone and they don’t say ‘thank you.’ THUMBS DOWN.

  • You witness a patron at a restaurant take off their shoes under the table. THUMBS DOWN!!! (Actually, this deserves booing, public shaming, and possible jail time, but also a thumbs down.)

I hope you’ve started a trend, Berkeley H. I look forward to seeing more of this.

Three out of five stars.

See you next Tuesday.
